As part of GHD's dynamic, multidisciplinary Tasmanian teams, you will focus on enabling renewable energy projects in Tasmania, Australia and beyond. We are looking to build our energy capability, particularly Senior/Technical Director level engineers that specialise in Renewables or Transmission & Distribution projects. These roles offer a fantastic step-up opportunity; take a lead in building our team’s capability around you and delivering significant energy projects in Tasmania and across the globe. Working with a passionate and high performing team, these positions offer the chance to work on complex, multidisciplinary projects that support sustainable renewable energy development and will see you involved in: Providing specialised technical services to a range of clients. Collaborating with project teams to design and engineer renewable power facilities, including hydro, battery energy storage systems, wind and balance of plant design for renewable generation. Actively participate in client relationship building, business development, and leading development of proposals. Leading multi-disciplinary project design team/s with responsibility for design delivery requirements including technical outcomes, budgets and timeliness, and commercial management. Support strategic initiatives on developing and growing GHD's Future Energy program, with dedicated attention to T&D and renewable integration opportunities in Tasmania and across Australia. What you will bring to the team: A relevant bachelor’s degree in Engineering, coupled with energy experience across either Renewables or Transmission & Distribution projects; Demonstrated experience in, or knowledge of, studies, approvals and delivery or construction phase services; The ability to lead or manage large scale studies with multidisciplinary teams, be the face of projects for clients and engage with stakeholders internally as well as externally; For the right candidate, we will consider a part-time appointment (minimum of 0.8 FTE). Demonstrated skills in project management and design management – capable of leading large power projects and multi-disciplinary engineering design.
